Scott Farris

Scott Farris is the author of three highly-regarded works of historical non-fiction published by Lyons Press:

A former bureau chief for United Press International and a senior advisor to the governors of Wyoming and California, a U.S. senator, the mayor of Portland, Ore., a university president, and a Catholic bishop, Scott did not begin writing books until he was 50.

He has appeared multiple times on C-SPAN, including "The Contenders" series, as well as the MSNBC programs "Morning Joe and "Melissa Harris-Perry."  He has authored opinion pieces that have appeared in the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, and the Washington Post.
